So... I probably never mentioned that but I actually play PWI (part of the reason my posts here are so rare) ;D

There was a Draw your character contest recently... and I really wanted to give it a try... honestly I think I stood a good chance with a total of 5 winners... ;D

But as I finished the picture last night I noticed that the contest ended not IN a few hours... but BEFORE a few hours.
Imagine my disappointment when I realized my effort went to waste ; - ; *sobs in corner*

Yes... contests really are. But I noticed lately (as I'm working on another picture) that I'm now paying more attention to detail and overall feeling of the picture... makes me think I can actually make something decent (ouo)b

Then drama ensued and my bank was empty, needless to say I don't want to play anymore

Also from personal views I think the judges of the contests don't really look at the quality of things but mores o how much money they could potentially make from it
Whether it be for a new in-game outfit or can somehow generate more accounts from how spectacular it looks to the folks they're trying to get to play and spend on their game}

Isn't it the same way with any game?
I mean... they were made so that someone can make money out of it...
I'm not saying it's a bad thing... cuz one gains money and another gains fun. I think it's a fair change if you're playing the game the right way ouo

As for the contest... I think they were very fair with it. I really liked the final choices. There's always unhappy ppl thinking their work was better... but there's not helping to that. If you can't play a game the fun way... why play it?

Trust me, being there for the 4yrs or so I was - was hella fun until like I said the drama came along because I was one f those types always in World Chat talking. Got to the point people would find me in threads on the forums or stalk me to find my "faults" and get others to bully me on the forums or in-game. There's no point in playing a game with a community or staff who care little about the experience of the users and only about lining their pockets and bullying.

I must say doesn't happen in most games I play, though, I mostly stick to talking to guildmates in vent/skype instead of talking to everyone on the server lol.
